On December 14, the Estonian Academy of Sciences will host the inaugural event of the Association of Spanish Researchers in the Baltic Countries (ACEBaltic). Jointly organized by ACEBaltic and the Embassy of Spain in Estonia, with funding from the Fundación Ramón Areces, the event will bring together a vibrant community of researchers, policymakers, and science enthusiasts.
The commemorative event will be held at Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius, Lithuania), on February 11 th. It aims to be an inspiring milestone for women and girls to progress in their scientific vocation with determination, as well as an awareness of the importance of authorities, institutions, academia and society working together to achieve one of the significant challenges of our days: making the scientific community a more prosperous, inclusive and equal space.
The ACEBaltic Astronomy Weekend brings together astronomers, researchers, and science enthusiasts from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. From March 28 to 31, 2025, we will explore significant astronomical institutions, foster international collaboration, and celebrate astronomical heritage and research in the Baltic region.
