The Association of Spanish Scientists in the Baltic Countries (ACEBaltic) invites the academic and institutional community to participate in the Women in Science (WinS) International Conference, an international forum dedicated to advancing gender equality in science through research, dialogue, and policy exchange.

ANTONIA FERRIN MOREIRA AWARD

The Association of Spanish Scientists in the Baltic Countries (ACEBaltic) is pleased to announce the First Edition of the “Antonia Ferrín Moreiras” Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis in Astronomy and Astrophysics (Baltic Countries). This award honors the legacy of Dr. Antonia Ferrín Moreiras, a pioneer of astronomy in Spain, and aims to recognize outstanding doctoral research in the field. The call is open to PhD theses defended between 2020 and 2025 at universities in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Applications will be accepted from 11 February to 30 March 2026. The award includes a monetary prize of €1,500, as well as a medal and/or diploma, and will be presented at a ceremony in Vilnius.
